Seth Baker

Seth Baker has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Seth has worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Sure since 2022. Before that, they worked at Bottomline Technologies in the same role from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they were employed at CBS Interactive from 2017 to 2021, starting as an Associate Software Engineer and later becoming a Software Engineer. At CBS Interactive, their responsibilities included developing core features for a Spring Boot OAuth 2.0 user profile resource server and working on a legacy Java (Tomcat) application server. Seth also played a significant role in the team's DevOps transition by converting legacy Ant build systems to Gradle. Seth Baker had a software engineering internship at CBS Interactive in 2016, where they worked on migrating mailing list management API endpoints from Oracle to Cassandra. Seth also has experience as a Student Software Developer at Marshall University from 2014 to 2016, where they contributed to a software project and gathered customer requirements. Additionally, they have held intern positions at SynTech Creative and the WV Office of Technology Security Operations Center, where they worked on developing RESTful web backends and creating Python clients, respectively. Seth Baker has entrepreneurial experience as well, having operated a freelance business services business called Flying Cat Media from 2009 to 2014, and providing clients with Wordpress support. Seth has also worked as an English as a Second Language Teacher at Sisa English Academy and as a Tourist Guide for the State of West Virginia.

Seth Baker completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Marshall University from 1999 to 2003. Seth later pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the same university, which they completed between 2013 and 2016.
