John Austin

John Austin has a diverse work experience spanning from 2014 to the present. John started their career as the Director of Operations at VertiGIS Studio from May 2014 to October 2018. John then founded and served as the CEO of ctrlpay from May 2020 to January 2021. After that, they held advisory roles at FreshBI, erly, and Waterworth from March 2021 to January 2022. Concurrently, they worked as a Management Consultant at Nortis from November 2021 to November 2022. In 2022, they joined SureSwift Capital as the Chief Operating Officer. Continuing their career progression, they became the General Partner at Cindicates starting from January 2023. Additionally, they also served as a Community Mentor at VIATEC from April 2019 to the present, and as a Growth Consultant at Austin Consulting from April 2019 to the present.

John Austin attended the University of Victoria from 1996 to 2001 where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. During their time in university, they studied Political Science and Computer Science.
