Andrew Owens is an experienced academic and consultant with a strong focus on mathematics, statistics, and computing disciplines. Currently, as a Sessional Academic and Tutor at Curtin University, Andrew engages students in various courses including Data Science in Practice and programming subjects. Andrew's background includes roles as a Training and IT Consultant and a Data Science Intern, where skills in SQL and machine learning were applied to solve client problems. Andrew has also contributed to education through enrichment teaching for the Mathematical Association of Western Australia, fostering problem-solving skills in young students.
