Pierre Portejoie is a French software engineer who is currently the Tech Lead at Surfe. Pierre has also worked as a Lead Web Developer at Kolle Bolle and as a teacher at ORT Lyon. Prior to their current positions, Pierre worked as a freelance software engineer and an image processing researcher at CNRS.
Pierre has always been interested in computers and technology. When they were younger, they loved playing video games and tinkering with computer hardware. This led to him pursuing a degree in computer science, which they completed in 2009. After graduation, Pierre worked as an image processing researcher at CNRS for two years before becoming a freelance software engineer in 2015.
As a freelance software engineer, Pierre worked on a variety of projects for different clients. In 2017, they began working at Kolle Bolle as their Lead Web Developer. In this role, Pierre was responsible for managing projects and working with graphic designers to create websites. Pierre also maintained client relations and provided support when needed.
In 2021, Pierre left Kolle Bolle to join Surfe as their Tech Lead. In this role, Pierre is responsible for leading the engineering team and developing new features for the Surfe website. Pierre is also working on increasing the performance of the website and improving the user experience.
Pierre Portejoie obtained a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Information Technology from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon.
They are on a team with Laura Blanch - Backend Engineer, Matthieu Sun - Account Executive, and Gökhan Arkan - Full-Stack Engineer. Their manager is David Maurice Chevalier, Co-Founder & CEO.
