Carla Avila currently serves as the Climate Action Program Manager at The Surfrider Foundation since March 2023. Prior to this role, Carla held positions including Redwoods Rising Fellow at Save the Redwoods League, Wigi National Monument Campaign Coordinator at The Surfrider Foundation, and various roles at the Redwood Community Action Agency spanning from Natural Resources Senior Planner to Education Coordinator and Social Media Manager. Carla Avila earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a focus on Ecological Restoration from Humboldt State University, supplemented by minors in Watershed Management, Soil Science, and Geography.
