Roland Fernandes is a seasoned geophysicist with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently employed at Surge Energy America since January 2017, focusing on seismic evaluation for reservoir characterization in the Permian basin. Prior to this role, Roland held various positions at Marathon Oil Corporation from June 2008 to September 2015, including Exploration Geophysicist for International New Ventures in West Africa and Development Geophysicist for Angola and the Gulf of Mexico, where significant contributions were made in resource estimation, prospect maturation, and field development. Roland's academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Geophysics from Texas A&M University and a Master’s Degree in Geology from Savitribai Phule Pune University, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from St. Xavier's College. Additionally, Roland has gained vital experience through internships at Marathon Oil and Shell, focusing on gravity modeling and CSEM projects, respectively.
