Tyra Newcomb

Tyra Newcomb, MHA, BSN, RN, CPPS, currently serves as the Chief Nursing Officer at Surgery Partners, Inc. since May 2022. Prior to this role, Tyra held the position of Director of Quality & Risk Management at Ochsner St. Mary from October 2019 to May 2022. Tyra's extensive experience in the healthcare field began at Teche Regional Medical Center, where responsibilities included RN and Director of Quality Management, RN Quality/Education Coordinator, RN Case Manager, and RN Med-Surg from 2010 to October 2019. Tyra holds a Master’s of Health Administration from LSU Shreveport and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Nicholls State University.
