Robert Elliott

Robert Elliott has a diverse work experience in various roles related to innovation, research and development in the field of space exploration and technology. Robert is currently the Head of Innovation, Research & Development at Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at STFC as the Head Of Business Development for RAL Space from 2017 to 2023. Before that, they held the position of Head of the Global Sensing and Satellite Centre (GloSS) at the National Physical Laboratory & University of Surrey from 2014 to 2017. Additionally, they have experience as a Key Account Manager at the European Space Agency (ESA) from 2012 to 2016 and as a Business Development Manager in the space and communications industry from 2009 to 2016. Robert started their career as an Industrial Abseiler at Hi-Rope from 2001 to 2002.

Robert Elliott attended Portree High School from 1992 to 1997. From 1996 to 2000, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Chemistry at Heriot-Watt University.
