John Barbagallo

John Barbagallo has extensive experience in the insurance industry, having held multiple roles in claims, sales, and product management since 1983. John began their career at Progressive Insurance, where they held roles such as General Manager of Homeowners Insurance, Community Manager, Director of Product Research and Development, Atlantic Region General Manager, and Great Plains Region General Manager. In 2006, they were appointed to the Board of Governors of the American Property Casualty Insurance Association. John then moved back to Progressive Insurance as Strategy Advisor and Commercial Lines Group President, where they were responsible for insurance president duties with 35+ years of experience in claims, product and distribution management, business development, and executive leadership in personal and commercial lines. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Surround Insurance as an Independent Director.

John Barbagallo holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Union College and a Master's Degree in Management from Purdue University Krannert School of Management.
