Director, Secondary Curriculum And Instruction at Surry County Schools

Amy Harris has a range of experience in the education field. Amy started their career as a Math Teacher at Stokes County Schools in 2005 and worked there until 2012. Amy then moved on to Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, where they took on various roles including Curriculum Coordinator/Instructional Facilitator and Assistant Principal from 2012 to 2018. In 2018, Amy joined Surry County Schools as a Principal and later transitioned to the role of Director, Secondary Curriculum and Instruction in June 2021. Throughout their career, Amy has demonstrated a strong commitment to instructional leadership, professional development, and student support.

Amy Harris obtained their Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Executive Leadership/School Administration from Gardner-Webb University from 2011 to 2012. In August 2012, they also received a Principal License K-12 from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
