Yakov Trapotznik began their work experience in 1984 as an Adjutant Officer in the IDF. Yakov then worked as a Senior Instructor in Field Forces until 1988. Following that, they became Branch Chief at the School of Adjutants until 1990. From 1990 onwards, they worked at the Survey of Israel, starting as Charge of Human Resources and later becoming Deputy Director General for Management and Human Resources.
Yakov Trapotznik's education history begins in 1982 when they enrolled at Tel Aviv University to pursue a Master's degree in an undisclosed field of study. Yakov stayed at the university until 1984. In 1985, Yakov returned to Tel Aviv University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, which they completed in 1987. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Administration and Public Policies, with a focus on Human Relations and Communication from 1987 to 1989. Finally, in 1988, Yakov attended Tel Aviv University once more to earn an Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Management from the School of Administration, completing the program in 1990.
