Jonathan Armstrong

Principal Technical Artist at Survios

Jonathan Armstrong has extensive experience in the gaming industry, with a focus on technical art and world building. Jonathan is currently working as the Principal Technical Artist at Survios, a position they started in 2023. Prior to that, they founded and served as the CEO of MODogma since 2013.

Jonathan has held various leadership roles throughout their career. Jonathan was the Lead Technical Artist at SHRAPNEL from 2022 to 2023, where they provided feedback and leadership to all art departments and assisted in project onboarding and configuration. Before that, they were the Lead Environment Artist/Technical Artist at IllFonic from 2022 to 2022 and the Senior World Builder/Lead Artist/Technical Art Director at Impulse Gear, Inc. from 2019 to 2022.

Earlier in their career, Jonathan worked as a Senior Environment Artist/World Builder at Sledgehammer Games from 2016 to 2019 and as an Environment Artist at Telltale Games from 2015 to 2016. Jonathan also gained experience as a 3D Artist at Microsoft in 2014, a World Artist at Monolith Productions from 2013 to 2014, and an Environment Artist at Disney Interactive Studios - Junction Point Studios from 2010 to 2013.

Jonathan Armstrong attended Savannah College of Art and Design from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Interactive Design and Game Development.
