Krista Park Berry has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Krista started their career as a Graphic Designer at Joseph C. Woodard Company, where they designed various print materials for clients. Krista then worked as a Health Education Coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they provided counseling, delivered educational programming, and developed health communication pieces.
Following that, Krista worked at the Orange County Rape Crisis Center in multiple roles, including Director of Agency Programs and Assistant Director of Community Response, Volunteer Management & Marketing. Krista supervised departments, managed grants, and coordinated crisis management efforts.
Krista then served as the Communications & Public Relations Director at Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines, where they focused on increasing visibility, membership, and support through strategic communications and marketing plans. Krista also managed media relations and crisis communications.
After that, Krista worked as a Strategic Communications Manager at SHIFT NC, where they provided communications support to various initiatives and created marketing materials.
Their next role was at Carolina for Kibera, where they worked as the Communications and Development Director. Krista managed the communications strategy, launched a rebranding initiative, and conducted successful fundraising campaigns.
Most recently, Krista served as the Executive Director at Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast. Currently, they are working at Susan G. Komen as the Director of Breast Care Helpline, where they are responsible for developing and managing a helpline team that provides support and resources to those in need of breast cancer information.
From 1994 to 1999, Krista Park Berry attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, specializing in Visual Communication and Graphic Design. Additionally, they took up a minor in Sociology and had an additional field of study in Women's Studies.
