Lori Whaley is an experienced advocate in the field of breast cancer, serving as an Advocate in Science at Susan G. Komen since October 2013, where efforts focus on integrating the perspectives of breast cancer patients and survivors into scientific discussions. In addition, Lori holds various leadership roles, including Board Member for the South Bend Chapter of the Indiana Black Expo and the African American Women in Touch, where education and fundraising efforts to combat breast cancer are priorities. As a Minister and Teacher at Total Faith Empowerment Outreach Ministry, Lori has been active in community teachings and events since October 2012. Further involvement includes participation in Leadership South Bend/Mishawaka to prepare for future leadership roles within the community and contributions to the Human Rights steering committee focused on racism. Lori's diverse experience is complemented by a background in healthcare as a PCA, Medical Assistant, and Medical Receptionist at Memorial Hospital, along with board membership in organizations such as St. Joseph County Bridges out of Poverty. Lori holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Bethel College.
