Karen van der Veer

Karen Van der Veer is an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in leading engineering teams and projects across multiple organizations. Currently, at SUSE, Karen manages the Public Cloud Engineering team, delivering solutions for public cloud service providers. Previous roles include managerial positions at New Relic, where Karen oversaw high-volume data ingestion and metrics pipeline teams, and Puppet, focusing on IT automation software development. Karen's career began at Hewlett Packard, where roles spanned from R&D Firmware Engineer to Functional Manager, leading various teams in firmware development for printers. Karen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
