Ralf Unger is a seasoned quality engineering professional with extensive experience in managing QA departments across various industries. Currently serving as the Director of Quality Engineering at SUSE since October 2017, Ralf leads a global team of over 100 employees, ensuring the quality assurance of the SUSE Linux Enterprise product family in compliance with industry standards. Previously, Ralf held roles such as Head of Quality Assurance at Serrala, overseeing the quality of multiple products in payment management, and as Head of QA at Canvas Reply GmbH, where Ralf established the QA department. Ralf’s career also includes significant positions at Oracle and Sun Microsystems Ireland Ltd., where Ralf built QA teams from the ground up and implemented testing strategies for various software products. Ralf holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Engineering from Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule Jena and has additional management training from the Irish Management Institute.
