Ali Fakih, PhD, PE, LEED AP, is a seasoned professional in civil engineering and sustainability, currently serving as a member of the Development Review Board for the City of Scottsdale since December 2020 and as the Chief Executive Officer of Sustainability Engineering Group, LLC, since February 2008, a firm committed to ecologically conscious building practices. Ali has a strong track record in community planning, having held the role of Commissioner on the Planning Commission for the City of Scottsdale from March 2011 to October 2020. Additionally, Ali has served as Past President of the Arizona Association of Environmental Professionals, contributing to the exchange of technical and regulatory information in environmental fields. Ali's educational background includes a PhD in Sustainability/Transportation from Arizona State University and a Master's degree in Construction Management from Lawrence Technological University.
