Hernan Colmenero

Hernan Colmenero is a Farm to Institution Manager at Sustainable Food Center, where Hernan coordinates value chains and partnerships. Hernan is the Founder and CEO of the Institute for Ecology, Scholarship, and Health, a consultancy firm focusing on creative solutions for a resilient food system. Previously, Hernan worked as a Contracted Consultant at the National Center for Appropriate Technology, expanding the Soil for Water network nationwide. As a CNP Director of Farms at IDEA Public Schools, Hernan led organic vegetable production and menu development for 75 schools across 4 states. Hernan holds a Masters in Public Health from UTHealth and a Permaculture Design Certificate from The Permaculture Project.
