Michael (Mike) Martini is an experienced professional in urban forestry, currently serving as the Director of Urban and Community Forestry for the Sustainable Forestry Initiative since February 2024. With a strong background in managing and enhancing urban forests, Mike has previously owned Martini Tree Consulting and worked as an Urban Forestry Consultant for PlanIT Geo™, where Michael (Mike) delivered innovative solutions in urban forestry. Mike's extensive experience includes roles at the NJ Department of Environmental Protection, overseeing statewide accreditation programs and grant initiatives, as well as coordinating outreach and partnerships for the Delaware Forest Service. Mike holds a Master's degree in Natural Resource Management with a focus on Urban Forestry from Oregon State University and has a Bachelor's degree in Ecology and Urban Forestry from Rutgers University.
