Daniela Fernandez

Daniela V. Fernandez is a prominent leader in ocean conservation and entrepreneurship, serving as the Founder and CEO of Sustainable Ocean Alliance since February 2014, which has become the largest youth-led network dedicated to ocean health. Additionally, Daniela founded Seabird Ventures in December 2019, focusing on venture capital investments in innovative companies aimed at restoring ocean ecosystems. Daniela's expertise has also been recognized through roles such as Expert Advisor for the 2022 Earthshot Prize, where valuable insights were provided on impactful ocean-related nominations, and as an Adjunct Professor at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, teaching about the Blue Economy. Daniela V. Fernandez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Government from Georgetown University, completed in 2017.
