Barney Bernstein

Barney Bernstein currently serves as Vice President of North American Operations at Sustainable Oils, Inc., focusing on the commercialization of camelina sativa as a renewable feedstock for renewable diesel since October 2018. Previously, Barney held positions such as Senior Director of Plant Services at Sustainable Oils, where efforts were directed towards developing new markets for camelina. Prior to this, Barney was a Senior Associate at Entira, assisting companies in the agricultural sector with qualitative discovery and strategy development. As the owner of Ag NC Consulting, Barney provided strategic recommendations for agribusinesses and supported a regional biofuel group. Barney also has extensive experience in marketing and sales management from roles at BASF Plant Science and American Cyanamid, alongside a strong academic foundation with a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland.
