Marion Verles

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at SustainCERT

Marion Verles has an extensive work experience in various leadership roles and organizations. Marion is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SustainCERT since June 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of The Gold Standard Foundation from February 2015 to June 2019, where they launched the Gold Standard for the Global Goals, a standard for climate and sustainable development interventions.

Before that, Marion worked as the Entrepreneurship Lead at Climate-KIC at WWF Switzerland from October 2014 to January 2015. Marion also served as the Executive Director of Nexus Carbon For Development from February 2011 to October 2014, where they designed and managed a cooperative of development organizations. Earlier in their career, they were the Executive Director of Nexus Carbon for Development at GERES - Group for the Environment, Renewable Energy and Solidarity from January 2009 to December 2010.

Marion started their career as a Financial Analyst in Corporate Development at Barclays Bank from September 2006 to October 2008.

Marion Verles obtained a Master's degree in Management of Public Administrations from Ecole Nationale d'Administration in 2011-2012. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science degree in European Business at EDHEC Business School from 2002 to 2007.
