Nadine Planzer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the environmental sector. Nadine is currently working as the Director of Business Development for Environmental Markets at SustainCERT, a role they began in January 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Business Development Manager for Environmental Markets at the same company from March 2021 to April 2022.
Before joining SustainCERT, Nadine worked as a Freelance Carbon & Environmental Impact Consultant starting in November 2018. Nadine provided consulting services in the field of carbon and environmental impact assessment on a freelance basis.
From May 2019 to March 2021, Nadine worked as a Consultant for Standardization Environment & Society at NEN. In this role, they were responsible for advising on standardization related to environmental and societal issues.
In their previous roles, Nadine held positions at organizations such as Solidaridad Network, ICCO Cooperation - FairClimate Programme, Climate Neutral Group, FairClimateFund, Social Trade Organisation (STRO) and FUNDER, China Carbon N.V, and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Viet Nam Program.
At Solidaridad Network, they served as the Climate Innovation Manager and Climate Task Force Lead, overseeing climate work across 50+ countries and leading a team of climate change experts. Nadine developed and implemented environmental and climate change strategies and policies for the organization.
In their role at ICCO Cooperation - FairClimate Programme, Nadine worked as a Senior Project Manager & Energy Specialist, focusing on developing climate mitigation projects and supporting civil society organizations in building the investment case for rural energy projects.
Nadine also gained experience as a Portfolio Manager at Climate Neutral Group, where they financed and managed a portfolio of carbon-financed clean energy projects in developing countries. At FairClimateFund, they held the position of Senior Project Manager/Fund Manager, responsible for identifying, assessing, and financing rural energy projects.
Earlier in their career, Nadine worked as an Energy & Carbon Consultant at Social Trade Organisation (STRO) and FUNDER, assessing the impacts of rural biodiesel projects. Nadine also served as a Senior Project Manager at China Carbon N.V, a carbon asset developer and investor in renewable energy.
Nadine's work experience also includes a role as an Independent Researcher at World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Viet Nam Program, where they conducted research on environmental issues.
Through their various roles and experiences, Nadine has developed expertise in business development, environmental impact assessment, climate change strategies, and project management in the environmental sector. Nadine has worked on a wide range of projects related to carbon neutrality, rural energy, and sustainable supply chain development.
Nadine Planzer completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in International Business from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, where they attended from 2001 to 2005. In 2004, they participated in an International Exchange Programme at California State University. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Environment and Resource Management with a specialization in Energy Studies at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), completing it from 2006 to 2007.
