Ryan Stubbs has extensive experience in the environmental science and project management field. Ryan began their career in 1998 as a Hydrogeological Technician at ASTI Environmental, where they primarily conducted groundwater sampling and supported a bioremediation wetland project. In 2000, they joined ATC Group Services LLC as a Project Scientist, focusing on industrial hygiene and conducting asbestos surveys and monitoring in Detroit Public Schools. From 2007, they worked at SRS (Sustainment and Restoration Services) as a Senior Environmental Scientist/Project Manager/Business Unit H&S Leader. During their time there, they managed over 20 projects in EPA Region 4 with budgets ranging from $10K to $1.1 million and also supported projects in EPA Region 5. In addition to their civilian work, they served as a Specialist in the US Army Reserves from 1994 to 2001. Overall, Ryan Stubbs has a diverse range of experience in environmental science, project management, and industrial hygiene.
Ryan Stubbs received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, with an emphasis in Aquatics and Fisheries, from Grand Valley State University. Ryan attended the university from 1993 to 1997. Prior to attending college, Ryan Stubbs graduated from Columbia Central High School between 1989 and 1993. In addition to their formal education, Ryan Stubbs has obtained various certifications, including Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens from the American Heart Association in January 2019, Heartsaver CPR AED Classroom from the American Heart Association in January 2018, and Crystalline Silica Employee Training from Mastery Technologies Inc in November 2017. Other certifications include HAZWOPER 8-Hour Supervisor from Safety Unlimited, Inc. in September 2017, OSHA 30 Hour from the US Army Corps of Engineers in February 2016, and IATA Security Training for Accepting and Shipping Dangerous Goods from Oneida Total Integrated Enterprises in December 2007. Ryan Stubbs also holds certifications such as 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety & Health from the OSHA Safety Training Institute in October 2006, 16-Hour Microbial Investigations, Assessments, and Remediation in the Indoor Environment from ATC Group Services LLC in September 2002, HAZWOPER 40-Hour from Metro Occupational Trainers, Inc. in December 1998, Construction Quality Management for Contractors from the US Army Corps of Engineers in November 2018, Asbestos Building Inspector from AHERA (trained by Jensen Environmental Training Services, Inc.) in August 2000, and Lead Inspector from the EPA in October 2005.
