Laurens Van Graafeiland has held a number of positions in various industries since 1999. Laurens began their career as a Marketing Employee at Koninklijke IBC (now Heijmans). In 2000, they moved to Deloitte as a Senior Strategy Consultant. In 2003, they worked as a Consultant at DA Retailgroep (formerly Dynadro). In 2004, they Co-founded and consulted at Growth Consult. In 2008, they founded Baken Adviesgroep, an advisory firm with forward-thinking data-analyses driven by a clear vision of macro-economic trends and disruption. Laurens was also a Participant in the inspiration tour at NIMA in 2008, and a member of the Managementteam at Groeilink in 2009. In 2014, they became CEO and Founder of Sustonable, a company that has developed a revolutionary thin and ultra-light weight building material with the physical look and feel of engineered stone.
Laurens Van Graafeiland received their VWO from Norbertuscollege Roosendaal in 1992. From 1986 to 1989, they attended CSG Willem van Oranje, Oud-Beijerland, also receiving their VWO. In 1999, they completed their Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology. In 2004 and 2005, they studied Spanish Language and Culture at the University of Amsterdam.
