Doug Whitney

Doug Whitney, SHRM-SCP, currently serves as Vice President of Human Resources at Sutter Health since October 2023. Prior to this role, Doug held various prominent human resources positions, including Executive Human Resource Leader at Whole Foods Market and Executive Human Resources Leader at Kaiser Permanente. Doug has extensive experience overseeing human resources strategies for large organizations such as The Pasha Group, Stop & Shop, CVS Caremark Corporation, and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., where responsibilities ranged from regional HR leadership to labor relations. Additionally, Doug has contributed to academia as an adjunct professor at Purdue University, teaching HR Law and Labor Relations. Doug holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Development and a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership & Supervision from Indiana State University and Purdue University, respectively.
