Rachael McKinney

Rachael McKinney has over 16 years of experience at Sutter Health, serving in various leadership roles including President of the Greater Sacramento Division and Hospital Area CEO, with responsibilities for on-site operations. Additional roles at Sutter Health include Interim CEO of Sutter Amador Hospital and CEO of the Regional Executive for Neurosciences. Rachael also served as the Director of Cardiopulmonary, Rehab & Cancer Services, overseeing operations for multiple departments and managing a significant budget and staff. Prior experience includes Chief Operating Officer at VEP Healthcare, Inc., focusing on the operations of a large physician services organization, and Graduate Research Assistant at the Carlson School of Management, where Rachael contributed to patient transport process improvement. Rachael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Gustavus Adolphus College and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the UMN Carlson School of Management.
