Prior to this role, Karen held the position of Financial Controller at Valtra Tractors UK Ltd from October 2004 to August 2006, and at British Polythene Industries Limited from May 1993 to August 2004. Karen began a career in finance as a Voyage Accounts Clerk at Elder Dempster Lines (UK) Limited, where employment lasted from August 1988 to April 1993. Educationally, Karen attended Wirral Grammar for Girls from 1993 to 1998.
