Aaron McLear

Aaron McLear is an experienced communications and public affairs professional with a career spanning two decades. Currently serving as an Advisor at SV Angel since January 2012, McLear has held significant leadership roles, including Vice President of Communications and Analytics at Cruise from January 2021 to December 2023, and prior positions such as U.S. Chair of Public Affairs at Edelman and Director of Corporate Communications at Uber. With a strong foundation in public service, McLear was Press Secretary for the Office of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and held various roles within the Republican National Committee and the Bush-Cheney '04 campaign. McLear co-founded Redwood Pacific Public Affairs and GINSBERG MCLEAR GROUP, LLC, and possesses a B.A. in Journalism from The Ohio State University, earned in 1999.
