James Costine

James Costine has over 15 years of work experience in various finance-related roles. James is currently working at SV Health Investors as a Partner - Finance Director / Chief Risk Officer since February 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Financial Controller - Corporate and Investment at Valiance from September 2016 to January 2018. Before that, they worked at AB as a Fund Controller - AVP from June 2015 to September 2016. From June 2012 to May 2015, they held the position of Fund / Financial Controller at Arcus Infrastructure Partners LLP and also worked as a Reporting Accountant from July 2009 to May 2012 at the same company. James started their career as an Accountant at Babcock & Brown from November 2008 to July 2009. James began their professional journey as a Senior Auditor at RSM ZA from February 2005 to January 2008.

James Costine completed their Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA), with a focus on finance, private equity, and general studies, at Bayes Business School from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a B.Com Honours degree in accounting from the University of Johannesburg between 2001 and 2004. James'ssecondary education took place at Boksburg High School from 1996 to 2000. Alongside their degrees, James also earned certifications including Chartered Institute of Management Accountants from CIMA in 2010 and Chartered Accountant from SAICA CA(SA) in 2008.
