Douglas Crane

Douglas Crane is a Professor of Classical Animation at SVA, where since September 2001, expertise has been dedicated to teaching Traditional/Classical Animation to undergraduate students and advising 4th-year thesis projects. Areas of specialization include Basic Foundation Drawing, Figure Drawing, Animation principles, Story Construction, and Character Design. Prior to this role, from June 1989 to August 2001, Douglas Crane worked as an animator at FILMATION, contributing to numerous animated series and films including He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and The Smurfs. Douglas Crane's education includes a certificate from The Cartoonists and Illustrators School in New York City and extensive practical experience in the animation industry.
