Farshid Rast Goftar is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the field of turbomachinery and carbon capture technology. Currently serving as Technology Lead - Seals at Svante since January 2022, Farshid plays a crucial role in the commercialization of solid sorbent carbon capture technology. Prior to this position, Farshid co-founded FEA.Co, where responsibilities spanned mechanical maintenance and technical sales of mechanical seals from March 2007 to January 2021. Previous experience includes serving as Senior Mechanical Engineer at Siemens, overseeing gas turbine maintenance and the balance of plant operations, and as Chief Engineer for gas turbines and turbo compressors at the Total South Pars Project. Early career development occurred in the Aircraft Gasturbine Repair Industry as a Senior Gasturbine Expert. Farshid holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Azad University (IAU).
