Alva Wästerby

Alva Wästerby is a Power System Analyst at Svenska kraftnät since December 2021, focusing on operational analysis and prequalifications for the Swedish ancillary service markets. Previous experience includes conducting a master thesis at Skellefteå Kraft AB on the potential of wind power in regulating grid frequency and working as a shop assistant at Coop Nord. Alva also held a temporary summer position at Skellefteå Kraft AB in the Grid, Strategy & Market department. Alva Wästerby holds a Master of Science degree in Energy Engineering from Umeå University, with additional studies at the Institute for Social and Economic Change in Bangalore and the University of Bradford.
