Tim Rasmussen, CCIM has a diverse work experience in the commercial real estate industry. Tim started their career as a Financial and Market Analyst at RERC - Real Estate Research Corporation from 1981 to 1983. Tim then joined Hawthorn Realty Group as an Executive Vice President from 1983 to 1993, where they oversaw the leasing and sale of the company's 8.5 million square foot portfolio of office and industrial property.

In 1993, Rasmussen founded their own company, Rasmussen Realty Advisors, where they served as the Managing Broker. Tim specialized in real estate development and advisory for their own businesses and third-party clients. One notable project they worked on was the adaptive re-use of a former parking garage into a mixed-use retail and light manufacturing building.

From 1993 to 2013, Rasmussen also served as the Principal of Chicago Restaurant Corp., where they owned and operated multiple restaurants throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. Tim was responsible for all aspects of the business, including design, financing, entitlement, licensing, and construction.

Currently, Rasmussen is working as an Assistant Vice President at SVN Chicago Commercial since 2013. In this role, they specialize in the sale and leasing of commercial properties in the Chicago metropolitan area. With their extensive background as both a real estate developer and a restaurant owner, Rasmussen brings a unique perspective to their work and has hands-on knowledge in various areas such as project underwriting, contract negotiation, land acquisition, business sales, leasing, and real estate disposition.

Tim Rasmussen, CCIM completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville between the years 1975 and 1981. In addition to their degree, they hold a CCIM Designee certification from the CCIM Institute, which they obtained in March 2016. Tim also obtained a Managing Broker certification from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in April 2015.
