Saul Nathan

Mr. Nathan is a member of Strategic Value Partners fund’s Advisory Council and is primarily involved in furthering the European franchise.

Mr. Nathan has spent over three decades as a trusted advisor to companies and financial investors. He has advised some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated clients on capital raising, financing and strategic transactions. For 30 years, he worked at Morgan Stanley in London, New York and Tokyo building and running businesses in investment banking and capital markets. From 2011 to 2015, he was Global Co-Head of the Financial Sponsors group, responsible for all activities with Private Equity firms. From 2015 – 2017, in addition to chairing that business, he served as Chair of the firm’s Capital Markets activities across EMEA and was a member of the European Management Committee. From 2018 to 2019, he was a Partner at BDT Capital and Head of the London office.

Mr. Nathan serves as an advisor to several companies and funds. He is a member of the Advisory Board of TitanBay, a leading pan-European private markets investment platform. In addition, he is a past Chair and current Deputy Chair of the Philharmonia Orchestra in London. Mr Nathan has an MA in Law from the University of Cambridge.
