In her role as a medical ethicist, she is used to discussing sensitive social issues in an accessible manner. Originally she was trained as a doctor, specializing in society and health. Over the past 15 years she has worked in various positions in the medical field. In recent years she has specialized further at RIVM in the ethical and policy side of healthcare. Her projects mainly focus on healthcare issues in which individual values ​​and freedoms clash with the collective interest. She is impressed by the dedication and involvement within healthcare in Zeeland and look forward to using her knowledge and expertise for SVRZ, especially now in this complex corona time.
