David Bates

David Bates has over 20 years of leadership and technical experience across various industries. David was the Vice President of Customer Success at SVT Robotics, where they led the customer success team in ensuring customer satisfaction and adoption of their software products. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Software, Controls and Integration Unit at Swisslog and Director of Software Engineering, responsible for software development strategy and implementation. David was also the Chief Information Officer at Gibson Farms and Chief Technology Officer at Proactis. Earlier in their career, they held leadership positions at Perfect Commerce and worked as a Project Manager at CorMine. David has a keen understanding of product strategy, user needs, and technical developments to grow a business.

David Bates received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science, with a minor in Spanish, from Virginia Military Institute in 2002. Prior to obtaining their degree, they studied abroad at Universitat Politècnica de València in 1997. In 2008, they obtained a certification in Practical Product Management from Pragmatic Institute.
