Ronald Oomes has extensive experience in operations management. Ronald began their career at Ahold in 1987, where they held various managerial positions in planning, logistics, and production. In 1993, they joined Douwe Egberts Coffee Utrecht as a Production Manager before becoming Plant Manager at Lassie Rice Wormer. Ronald then returned to Douwe Egberts Coffee Utrecht as Plant Manager and later became Operations Director of Douwe Egberts Coffee Systems Netherlands, where they improved service and cost results through the absorption of sister organizations.
In 2005, Oomes joined Sara Lee as Operations Director of Sara Lee International Foodservice, responsible for European Out of Home technical service, supply, and support organizations. Ronald implemented the Sara Lee matrix organization model and standardized working processes, resulting in improved service and cost results. Additionally, they temporarily took on the responsibility of the Technical Dispenser Development team.
Oomes then joined D.E MASTER BLENDERS 1753 in 2008 as Regional Operations Director for European coffee and tea factories. Ronald was responsible for up to five factories and focused on improving service, cost, and capital results. Ronald developed and deployed strategies, built governance and teams, and implemented LEAN principles. In addition, Oomes temporarily oversaw the International Product and Process Engineering department and Continuous Improvement team.
Most recently, they joined SVZ in 2014 as Operations Director, where they are responsible for managing operations within the company.
Ronald Oomes received a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology from 1979 to 1987. Prior to that, they attended Henric van Veldeke College Maastricht from 1973 to 1979, but the information regarding their degree and field of study is unknown.
