John Cutler

John Cutler serves as a Principal at SWA Group since 1979 and has been a Board Member, Past President, and Chairman of Trees for Houston since 1984, actively contributing to the Executive and Finance Committees. Previously, John held the role of Commodore at the ENSIGN CLASS ASSOCIATION from March 2017 to January 2019, and served as President of the Houston Automobile and Transportation Museum from May 2014 to March 2017, where the focus was on developing a museum dedicated to the history and impact of automobiles in Houston. John’s earlier experience includes positions as Principal Landscape Architect at the Office of George Porcher and Campus Landscape Architect at the University of Houston, following a foundation as a Landscape Designer at CRS Architects. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Texas A&M University and attendance at both the University of Denver and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for further studies in Landscape Architecture.
