Matt John

Matt John is an accomplished healthcare informatics leader with over 20 years of experience in the ICT and healthcare sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Digital and Chief Information Officer at Swansea Bay University Health Board since April 2019, Matt has held various senior roles including Chief Information Officer at ABMU Health Board and Assistant Director of Informatics at Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board. Previous positions include Head of ICT Programmes at NHS Wales and Deputy Head of ICT at Bro Morgannwg NHS Trust. Matt’s educational background includes a Master of Science (MSc) with Distinction in Computer Science from Swansea University and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Hotel and Institutional Management from the University of Wales, Cardiff.
