Peter Kalogiannis

Peter Kalogiannis has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Peter co-founded Swarm Aero in 2022 and serves as the Co-Founder & Chief Engineer. Prior to that, they co-founded Airflow.aero in 2020 and held the position of Co-Founder & CTO until 2022. From 2019 to 2020, they worked at Uber as a Sr. Flight Test Engineer, where they conducted operational planning for the integration of small UAS in urban environments and led a multi-million dollar UAS development effort.

Before Uber, Peter worked at SkyRyse as the Director of Platforms in 2018-2019. Peter also had a significant role at A^3 by Airbus from 2016 to 2018, where they served as the Aircraft Integration and Test Lead for the Vahana prototype aircraft. Peter led the construction, ground testing, and flight test operations of the aircraft and was the Pilot In Command for its first flight.

Peter's earlier experiences include working at Scaled Composites, LLC, where they were a Manager of Business Development, Flight Test Engineer, and Project Engineer, Avionics. In these roles, they played a key role in developmental flight tests, co-piloted WhiteKnightTwo, and led the development of avionics systems for the SpaceShipTwo program.

Before Scaled Composites, Peter worked at Avidyne as a Hardware Systems Engineer, focusing on the design, integration, and flight test of primary flight displays. Peter also worked at Frasca International, Inc. as an Electrical Engineer.

Peter Kalogiannis has a strong educational background in engineering. Peter earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2000.
