Executive Director, Lang Center at Swarthmore College

Benjamin Berger is the Executive Director of the Lang Center at Swarthmore College. Benjamin has been with Swarthmore College for 19 years and 11 months, holding various positions such as Executive Director of the Lang Center for Civic & Social Responsibility, Associate Professor of Political Science, and more. In their current role, they manage a staff of 8 full-time employees and 20+ part-time employees, as well as a substantial annual budget and income streams from a range of endowments. Additionally, they transform extracurricular student activities into co-curricular commitments by helping to connect activities with academic learning, and they engage faculty, staff, students, and community partners in fruitful collaboration. Benjamin also teaches Political Science courses and conducts academic research as a tenured member of the Political Science Department.

Benjamin Berger attended Princeton University and Harvard University, where they earned their PhD in Government.
