Isthier Chaudhury

Isthier Chaudhury is the Director of Admissions at Swarthmore College since June 2023, previously serving as Senior Associate Director of Admissions and Coordinator of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Trinity College-Hartford from December 2020 to June 2023. Prior experience includes roles in international admissions at the University of Rochester from June 2013 to November 2020 and a Graduate Research Assistant position at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2011 to May 2013. Isthier Chaudhury holds a Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Chinese Studies and Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester. Additional research and teaching experiences span several institutions, including Peking University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, emphasizing expertise in nanomaterials, biomaterials, and educational mentorship.
