Ray Wirta

Ray Wirta is currently an Independent Director at CBRE. He was previously the Independent Chairman of The Board and prior to that the Vice Chairman. CBRE is a US based commercial real estate services and investment firm and is the largest commercial real estate services company in the world. As a Venture Partner at Sway Ventures, he brings a wealth of commercial real estate knowledge including operational experience and investment management / development services expertise that’s second to none.

Prior, Ray held a multitude of top Executive roles within CBRE as Chief Executive Officer and separately Chief Operating Officer (from May 1998 to June 2005). He was also the Director and Non-Exec Chairman of Realty Finance Corporation, where he was also the Chairman (May 2005 to August 2009).

Further, Ray was the Chief Executive Officer of The Koll Company (starting in November 2009), with other notable engagements including President of the Irvine Company (from June 2016 to March 2019) as well as President of the Investment Properties Group at the Irvine Company (from June 2010 through June 2016).

Other endeavors include being the Non-Executive Chairman of CV Holdings, Inc., Director at California Coastal Communities, Inc. and Chief Executive Officer of The Bolsa Chica Co., and numerous others. Ray holds a B.A. from California State University, Long Beach and an M.B.A. from Golden Gate University.
