John Platko

John Platko is an accomplished corporate sustainability advisor with extensive experience in the environmental consulting sector. Currently serving as Vice President and Corporate Sustainability Advisor at SWCA Environmental Consultants since June 2023, John leads the Sustainability & Management Consulting team, focusing on integrating economic viability with environmental and social benefits. Prior to this, John was the Managing Partner at ALO Advisors, where responsibilities included guiding ESG business strategies from May 2018 to May 2023. John’s tenure at Antea Group spanned nearly a decade, holding various roles including Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer, where commercial strategies were developed and implemented, and Vice President of Solutions Innovation & Development, focusing on sustainability service innovation. Earlier positions included Senior Consultant at Delta Consultants and Vice President at InteGreyted International. John holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from Florida Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Aquatic Environments from Allegheny College.
