Cultural Resources Team Lead at SWCA

Tyler Molter, M.A., RPA has extensive work experience in the field of archaeology. Tyler currently holds the position of Associate Project Manager at SWCA Environmental Consultants, where they began in November 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as an Assistant Project Archaeologist at the same company from March 2022 to November 2022.

Before joining SWCA Environmental Consultants, Tyler worked as an Associate Archaeologist at PaleoWest from May 2021 to February 2022.

Tyler's earlier experiences include working as an Archaeological Field Technician at Logan Simpson from October 2016 to July 2020. During this time, they conducted survey work in various locations in Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona.

Tyler also served as a Cultural Resource Specialist at SWCA Environmental Consultants in November 2016, participating in pedestrian surveys and recording prehistoric and historic sites using technological tools.

Tyler's experience as an Archaeological Field Technician at Cardno TEC, Inc. from August 2016 to October 2016 involved conducting pedestrian surveys and recording sites in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest.

Additionally, Tyler worked as an Archaeological Lab Technician at Portland State University in June 2016 and as a Vendor for the National Parks Service at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in June 2016. In their role at Fort Vancouver, Tyler set up excavation programs for children and coordinated field school students and staff.

Overall, Tyler Molter has gained a diverse range of field and laboratory experience in archaeology through their various roles in different companies and organizations.

Tyler Molter, M.A., RPA completed a Master's degree in Archaeology at the University of Nevada, Reno from 2019 to 2021. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physical and Biological Anthropology from Portland State University, graduating between 2014 and 2016.
