Karin Kronhoffer

Karin Kronhoffer has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Karin started their career as an intern at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in 1994. Karin then worked as a Research Fellow at the Swedish Defence University from 1996 to 1998. Kronhoffer then moved on to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Departement of Global Security, where they served as a Desk Officer from 1998 to 1999. Karin also worked at the UN Secretariat Office of the Secretary General as an Associate Expert from 1999 to 2000. Kronhoffer then transitioned to the Permanent Mission of Sweden to the UN, where they worked as a Second Secretary for a brief period in 2000. In 2001, they joined the United Nations as an Associate Expert before moving to the Ministry of Defence in the same year. At the Ministry of Defence, they held the roles of Desk Officer from 2001 to 2004, and Deputy Director from 2005 to 2008. From 2008 to 2011, Kronhoffer worked at the Ministry of Defence as a Senior Advisor. In 2011, they joined FXM as a Director until 2015. Since then, they have been employed at Swedfund International, first as Director Strategy and Communications and then as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). In these roles, they have been responsible for owner and stakeholder relations, analytical work, feasibility studies, and communications. Karin has also been actively involved in impact investments in Climate and Job creation, as well as promoting gender lens investments through the Gender finance collaborative steering committee.

Karin Kronhoffer began their education in 1991 at Uppsala University, where they pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus on Political Science and National Economy. Karin completed this program in 1996. In the same year, they attended the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where they studied State Responsibility in International Law and the Settlements of Disputes, as well as European Integration. The details of the degree obtained at the University of Amsterdam are not provided. In 1995, Karin Kronhoffer earned a Human Rights Diploma from the International Institutet for Human Rights in Strasbourg, France. In their educational journey, they also undertook a language course in German at the Colonne Fremdsprache Institut in Hamburg, Germany, during the year 1992.
