Marie Aglert has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Marie is currently the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Head of Investment Organization at Swedfund International since August 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Member of the Advisory Board at Modvion in 2021. In 2020, they served as a Member of the Board at the International Council of Swedish Industry (NIR). Marie has a long history with EKN Exportkreditnämden, starting from 2007. At EKN, they held various positions including Director and Head of Business Area Large Corporates, Deputy Director, and Senior Underwriter. Marie also served as the Head of Mining, Construction, and Transport, where they were a member of the Management team and Credit committee. Before joining EKN, Marie worked as a Senior Country Policy Advisor at EKN and an Economic Analyst at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in London and the European Commission.

Marie Aglert has a Master's degree in Economics from Stockholm University, which they completed in 1997. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economía Espanola at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from 1995 to 1996. In 1992, Marie began studying French at Université Paris-Sorbonne, and in 1991 they also studied Spanish at Universidad de Málaga. Additionally, Marie obtained an Executive Leader qualification from Stockholm School of Economics Executive Education in 2019.

Swedfund International AB is a principal investment firm specializing in direct and fund of fund investments. The firm does not invest in the Swedish businesses of Swedish companies and in companies that manufacture or sell weapons, tobacco or alcohol. It prefers to invest in seed, start-ups, and mid and late venture in mature and middle marketcompanies. It seeks to provide risk capital in the form of share capital, share options, convertible loans, preference shares, royalty loans, subordinated loans, secured loans, loans, guarantees, and part-financing of leasing agreements.
