Helena Casabona

Helena Casabona has extensive experience in regulatory and strategic roles within the field of environmental protection and chemical safety. Currently serving as a Strategic Advisor and Head of Unit at Kemikalieinspektionen since February 2003, Helena is responsible for the coordination and authorization of plant protection and biocidal products. Prior to this, Helena worked as a Department Secretary at Miljödepartementet from March 2004 to June 2005, focusing on issues related to pesticides and GMOs. Helena Casabona holds a Master’s degree in Toxicology from Karolinska Institutet and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Uppsala University, complemented by foundational education from Nynäshamns gymnasium.
