Margareta Bergman is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various roles at Migrationsverket since November 2007, including positions as Verksjurist/Senior Legal Adviser and Head of Units for European Funds and the GDISC Secretariat. Additionally, Margareta has served as a Cabinet Member in the Division for European and International Cooperation. Previous experience includes serving as an Expert for EAC Project, a Seconded National Expert at the European Commission, and a Desk Officer at Regeringskansliet, Utrikesdepartementet. Margareta's early career included roles at Migrationsverket and a legal internship with UNHCR. Margareta holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Public International Law from Uppsala University, supplemented by studies at American University and Université de Nancy II, as well as a high school diploma from Thomasgymnasiet in Sweden and Simsbury High School in the USA.
